My Story

I arrived to Aberdeen in August 2021 with seven years of experience as physiotherapist in Italy, my native Country, and seven years of experience as expat physiotherapist (UAE and Azerbaijan), working in different rehabilitation settings and specialties,

Since my graduation and internship, which covered all the patient areas such as cardiopulmonary, neurology, orthopaedic, geriatric and paediatric, I made the choice to gain experience in many different fields of physiotherapy, taking on lots of jobs in several clinics like msk, geriatric, hospice, community physiotherapy. I overexerted myself and I grew tired and confused.

I decided to take a break, improve my English proficiency and travel. During this career break, I got a job offer in Dubai, it was the summer 2012 and that was the beginning of my journey into the spine rehabilitation. I moved to UAE thinking to stay for a short period of time, I ended up staying 5 years where I grew so much professionally and personally. I had the opportunity to attend lots of courses and seminars about vertebral rehabilitation and neuroscience (you can find more details below) and to work in amazingly equipped hospitals.

It also happened that I met my husband during my UAE time, and together we decided to move to Baku when the right opportunity for a career growth came for him, and the right time for another career break came for me. We welcome the arrival of our first daughter three months after our relocation in Azerbaijan and I took a full year off from physiotherapy to help this little amazing human being thriving.

I went back into the field working for an outpatient clinic in Baku, but unfortunately after about a year into this job, the pandemic made physiotherapy pause. In the same time we welcome the arrival of our second daughter. During my parental leave, another opportunity came up for my husband and we decided to relocate to Aberdeen. And here we are, new in the city trying to give the best time and the best of myself to our two little ones.

While settling down as family in Aberdeen I applied for my physiotherapist licence approval in UK (obtained in July 2023), and attended several courses in beauty therapy (I always flirted with that world!), I gained the qualification of SPA therapist which included Swedish massage, Hot stone massage, Indian head massage and facial, and I completed the accredited courses for dermaplaning, microneedling, chemical peeling and mesotherapy.

My journey is not over, I feel I still have so much to learn and to give. I'm happy to be back doing what I love to do with a new awareness that came for motherhood.

I'm passionate and dedicated to my job and in the same time I try to be the rock of my growing family.
